What this site collects
Reading pages on this site does not require an account, and there is nothing here to sign up for.
No analytics are installed on this site. Nothing is set in your browser to measure you, and no third-party script runs on these pages. Fonts are served from this site’s own server rather than from a font provider, so loading a page does not disclose your visit to another company.
Standard web-server logs (IP address, page requested, time, browser user agent) are kept by the hosting provider for security and troubleshooting. The site is served through a content delivery network, which also processes request data in order to deliver pages and block abuse.
If you write to me, I keep the message so that I can reply and, where relevant, act on a correction. I do not add correspondents to a mailing list.
Advertising
This site may carry advertising on entry pages in future. If and when it does, this page will name the advertising provider and describe what it sets, before the first ad appears. Advertising will never appear on the about, methodology, corrections or contact pages.
Purchases
No products are sold here yet. When study editions launch, checkout will be handled by an external merchant of record, and payment details will be processed by that company rather than by this site — this page will name them and link their privacy policy at that point.
